Driver's license and proof of insurance (uploaded at booking)
Rental dates, pickup/return times, items being hauled
Driving record questionnaire responses
Payment information (processed by Stripe — we do not store card numbers)
IP address and standard server logs

2. How We Use Your Information

To process and manage your trailer rental booking
To contact you about your reservation
To send rental-related text messages (see Section 3)
To comply with insurance requirements and applicable law

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Text Message Communications (SMS/MMS)

3a. Transactional Messages

When you provide your phone number during booking, you agree to receive text messages from Dump Trailers Utah related to your rental:

Booking confirmation
Pickup reminders (sent the evening before and morning of your pickup)
Checkout and check-in links for signing required rental documents

Typical frequency: 3–4 messages per rental. Msg & data rates may apply.

3b. Promotional / Marketing Messages

If you separately opt in during booking, we may also send occasional promotional messages such as seasonal deals and availability alerts. This consent is optional and is not required to complete your booking. Typical frequency: 2–4 messages per month when opted in. Msg & data rates may apply.

    OPT OUT: Reply STOP to any text message at any time to stop all messages.

    HELP: Reply HELP for contact information.

    Opting out does not affect your rental or any refund you may be owed.

We do not sell or share your phone number with third parties for marketing. Your number is used solely for the communications described above.

4. Data Storage and Security

Booking records (including uploaded documents) are stored securely on our WordPress server. Uploaded files are protected from public browser access. We retain records for a minimum of 5 years for insurance and legal compliance.

5. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us. Note: we may be required to retain certain records for legal or insurance purposes.

6. Cookies

Our booking page uses essential cookies only (Stripe payment processing). No tracking or advertising cookies are used.

7. Children's Privacy

Our services are not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors. Renters must be 25 or older.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy periodically. The "Last Updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
